PROPANE-BUTANE:
The popular name of propane-butane is LPG: Liquefied Petroleum Gas
Propane-butane, GPL, LPG gas, propane-butane gas or liquid propane gas is a flammable volatile mixture of hydrocarbon gases propane C3H8 and butane C4H10. Liquefies under pressure 8 the atmosphere (at a temperature of 20-25C°). It finds wide industrial and domestic application, as well as auto fuel. LPG is produced in the refining of oil. It was first produced in 1910 G. by Dr. Walter Snelling, and the first commercial products, containing propane-butane, appear in 1912 year.
Liquefied hydrocarbon gas
Varieties of LPG, which are sold, may contain propane only (C3H8), butane only (C4H10), but most often they are a mixture of propane and butane, depending on the season. Propenes and butenes are also usually present in small amounts. LPG has no smell. For example, ethylmercaptan is used as a flavoring agent, so that leaks can be detected easily. LPG provides approx 3% of the currently consumed energy, it burns without soot and has low sulfur emissions, therefore it does not lead to land or water pollution.
LPG is a gas at normal temperatures and atmospheric pressure, and is supplied liquefied under pressure in steel bottles.

Usage
LPG has a very wide range of applications, which are mainly used for bottles in many different markets such as agriculture, for recreation, construction, sailing and fishing. It can serve as cooking fuel, for central heating and water heating.
Domestic heating
LPG is an alternative to heating with electricity and oil. It is most often used there, where there is no access to gas pipeline networks.
